Our aim

MedTropic SARL wants medtropic.co to work for everyone who visits it, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, screen magnification or a high zoom level. We work to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard most widely used for websites.

Where we stand

The site partially conforms to WCAG 2.2 level AA. Most of it meets the standard. The parts that do not yet meet it in full are listed under Known limitations below, with what you can do in the meantime.

What we have done

  • Every page has a clear title, one main heading and headings in order, with the header, menus, main content and footer marked as such for assistive technology.
  • A “Skip to content” link is the first thing a keyboard reaches on every page.
  • Everything works with a keyboard alone and shows a visible focus ring. The menu and the species panel keep focus inside them while they are open. Escape closes them and returns you to where you were.
  • Images that carry meaning have text descriptions. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers so they do not get in the way.
  • Text and controls meet the WCAG contrast minimums against their backgrounds, including text placed over photographs.
  • Headings and statements that animate word by word are read out as whole sentences.
  • If your device is set to reduce motion, the scroll animations, smooth scrolling and pinned scenes are switched off. Content that fades in as you scroll can be reached by screen readers and keyboards before it appears.
  • The contact form has visible labels, points to the field that needs attention and says why, and announces when your message has been sent.
  • Links that open another website in a new tab say so.
  • Pages rearrange into a single column on narrow screens, so you can zoom to 400 percent without scrolling sideways to read.

Known limitations

  • Very large headings. The biggest headings are sized to the width of the window, so they grow less than other text when you zoom in. Body text, labels and buttons grow in full.
  • The route drawing on the home page. The place names inside the drawing are small on phones. The same route is described in the text beside it.
  • The security check on the contact form. It is provided by Cloudflare and usually runs without asking you to do anything. If it ever stops you from sending a message, write to us at contact@medtropic.co instead.
  • Other websites. This statement covers medtropic.co only. Our furniture brand, enchi, has its own website.

Using the site

The site is built with standard HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Its pages can be read with JavaScript switched off, while the search and filters in the species catalogue and the contact form need it. If something does not work for you, the contact page lists our email addresses, and every enquiry can be made by email.

How we checked

This statement is based on our own assessment, carried out in October 2026. We reviewed the site’s code against WCAG 2.2 level AA and ran automated checks of contrast, headings, labels and names on every page, then tested the pages with a keyboard in a browser. The site has not yet been audited by an independent specialist. We review this statement whenever the site changes significantly, and at least once a year.

Tell us about a problem

If any part of the site does not work for you, or you need information from it in another format, email contact@medtropic.co. Tell us which page you were on and what went wrong, and we will reply within one business day.
